Steward's Report
Lady Spur was a late scratching at 1.30pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Glen Mika was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr D Pryse, the trainer of Glen Mika regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. After viewing all available video footage stewards were satisfied that the greyhound crossing to the outside had contributed to the greyhound performance in this event and took no further action.
Stewards delayed the all clear for this event to review the lure drive at the start of this event. After careful consideration, stewards could not determine that the distance of the lure had substantially inconvenienced the greyhounds or affected the outcome of the event. The all clear was subsequently given.
Stewards reminded the lure driver, Mr T Adamson of his responsibilities regarding the distance of the lure, pursuant to GAR 55(1).
