Steward's Report
Meatball was slow to begin.
Tat Minnie and Blanford Babe collided at the 100m mark. Woolly Warbo crossed to the outside approaching the winning post. Meatball and Doobstar collided approaching the winning post.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Due to a technical malfunction with the TAB phone application and website, a number of greyhounds throughout the meeting were inadvertently late scratched. Stewards consulted with the TAB who stated that the malfunction had occurred across all greyhound meetings and the problem appeared to have affected the fixed odds betting. All fixed odds betting had subsequently been suspended while to TAB worked to rectify the problem. All other wagering services were not affected.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Wayne Vassallo, the trainer of Wicked Tuna, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Wicked Tuna last raced on 2 February 2017. Mr Vassallo stated that the greyhound had changed kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Wicked Tuna trialled over the 300m from box three, weight 36.5kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of five. The time of the trial was 16.55, the greyhound won by a margin of 0.25L. Wicked Tuna was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Daintree Dynamo trialled over the 300m from box eight, weight 31.5kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of five. The time of the trial was 16.55, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.5L. Daintree Dynamo was cleared.
