Steward's Report
Dr. Frankie and Mallee Spring were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Empire Entourage and River Crossing collided soon after the start. Galloping Fantom and Hoof It collided on the first turn. Mallee Spring was checked off Hoof It approaching the second turn. Dr. Frankie was checked off Galloping Fantom on the second turn. Kadalex Kid and Hoof It collided entering the back straight. River Crossing and Hyundai Hawk collided on the third turn checking Hyundai Hawk. Hyundai Hawk was checked off River Crossing in the home straight checking River Crossing. Dr. Frankie marred Kadalex Kid in the home straight.
Dr. Frankie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured dew claw on the left front foot, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon the trainer of the greyhound Dr. Frankie regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Dr. Frankie with marring, Mr. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Dr. Frankie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory triall all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
