Steward's Report
The closing time of Kennels was delayed by approximately 8 minutes due to a Trainer experiencing car problems en route to the track.
Penny Black, Ice Cold Yug and Emerley Mee Too were slow to begin. Ray's Wish and Newtown Flyer collided on the first turn checking Ray's Wish, Newtown Flyer and Emerley Mee Too. Emerley Mee Too raced wide as a result. Penny Black galloped on the heels of Calabrese Bullet on the first turn checking Calabrese Bullet, Ice Cold Yug, Knuckles and Flying Queen. Penny Black and Flying Queen collided approaching the home turn. Ice Cold Yug checked off Calabrese Bullet approaching the home turn. Penny Black and Flying Queen collided on the home turn. Ice Cold Yug and Knuckles collided in the home straight.
Flying Queen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
