Steward's Report
Boydy was quick to begin. Sultan's Girl went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begn. Tucky's Daughter and Able Bess collided approaching the first turn checking Tucky's Daughter. Iona Roby was checked off Boydy approaching the first turn checking Able Bess. Big Skeeta galloped on Able Bess on the first turn checking Big Skeeta and severely checking Jen's Magic and Able Bess; Able Bess stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result causing Sultan's Girl and Tucky's Daughter to race wide. Contagious Miss eased approaching the winning post.
Able Bess was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right shoulder muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Contagious Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent. Trainer Mr. C. Fulford declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Fulford the trainer of the greyhound Contagious Miss regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Contagious Miss with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Fulford pleaded guilty to the charge, Contagious Miss was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
