Osti's Raider was quick to begin. Black In Town and Swift Joker were slow to begin.
Simone's Magic and King Henry collided at the 200m mark. Harry's Hammer and Osti's Raider collided at the 150m mark, checking Osti's Raider. King Henry marred Harry's Hammer approaching the 100m mark, checking Harry's Hammer and Osti's Raider. King Henry and Harry's Hammer collided at the 50m mark, checking King Henry.
King Henry was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr Donald Jarvis, the trainer of the greyhound King Henry, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the 100m mark. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged King Henry with marring. Mr Jarvis pleaded guilty to the charge, King Henry was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
