Stewards spoke to Mr K Lingard, the trainer of Hartley Matt regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Hartley Matt last raced on 13-May-17. Mr Lingard stated that the dog had not been racing due to a change of kennels.
Blue And Cool, Gidgee's Boss and Bad Baloney were quick to begin. Bad Baloney, Gidgee's Boss and Grey Grouse collided soon after the start checking Grey Grouse. Money Dud and Hartley Matt collided soon after the start checking Hartley Matt and Grey Grouse. Bad Baloney and Gidgee's Boss collided approaching the first turn checking Gidgee's Boss.
