Mr W. Bocquet, trainer of Muchas Gracias declared a new weight of 28.2 kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Muchas Gracias last raced at 29.4 kg.

Scorching Lucy was slow to begin.  Kraken Elroy, Sweet Angel, Toby's Taxi and Nitro Heroine collided soon after the start checking Sweet Angel and Toby's Taxi.  Scorching Lucy, Nitro Heroine, Toby's Taxi, Sweet Angel and Hartley Steph collided on the first turn, severely checking Hartley Steph and Sweet Angel.  Sweet Angel fell as a result.  Micro Moo and Scorching Lucy collided on the first turn checking Scorching Lucy.  Nitro Heroine and Kraken Elroy raced wide in the home straight.

Hartley Steph was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both shoulder muscles, right fibula, right pencil  and both triangle muscles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Sweet Angel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right monkey muscle and both groin muscles, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Trish's Delight, Slow As Thunder and Another Emgrand were quick to begin.  Little Maggie, Eden Lass, Shooter's Odysey and Just Missy were slow to begin.  Eden Lass checked off Shooter's Odysey approaching the first turn.  Trish's Delight checked off Slow As Thunder on the first turn.  Trish's Delight, Little Maggie, Shooter's Odysey and Vee Power collided on the first turn checking Trish's Delight, severely checking Vee Power, Just Missy and Shooter's Odysey, resulting in Shooter's Odysey falling. Trish's Delight raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Shooter's Odysey was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both monkey muscles, right shoulder and both stifle muscles, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

As a consequence of a breakdown in communication, Mr John Caulfield, trainer of Just Missy, left the Course without presenting the greyhound for a post-race Veterinary check.  Stewards spoke by phone to Mr Caulfield and Mr Caulfield will present the greyhound at the Bendigo meeting on Wednesday 16th August.

Jai Jai Away stumbled at box rise.  Lorella, Greysynd Burn and Blue Berty were quick to begin.  Another Banji and Greysynd Burn collided soon after the start.  Lorella, Another Banji, Greysynd Burn and Blue Berty collided approaching the first turn.  Lorella, Greysynd Burn, No Excuse and Blue Berty collided on the first turn checking Blue Berty.  Kraken Lanina and Jai Jai Away collided on the first turn checking Kraken Lanina.  Greysynd Burn faltered on the first turn, severely checking Kraken Lanina.

Greysynd Burn was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock fracture and was humanely euthanased.

Mr K. Lingard, trainer of Hartley Matt declared a new weight of 32 .5 kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hartley Matt last raced at 31.4 kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr K Lingard, the trainer of Hartley Matt regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Hartley Matt last raced on 13-May-17. Mr Lingard stated that the dog had not been racing due to a change of kennels.

Blue And Cool, Gidgee's Boss and Bad Baloney were quick to begin.  Bad Baloney, Gidgee's Boss and Grey Grouse collided soon after the start checking Grey Grouse.  Money Dud and Hartley Matt collided soon after the start checking Hartley Matt and Grey Grouse.  Bad Baloney and Gidgee's Boss collided approaching the first turn checking Gidgee's Boss.  Money Dud and Gidgee's Boss collided on the first turn checking Gidgee's Boss.  Hartley Matt, Grey Grouse and Gidgee's Boss collided approaching the home turn checking Hartley Matt and Grey Grouse, severely checking Gidgee's Boss.  Swift Knockout and Bad Baloney collided approaching the home turn checking Bad Baloney.  Money Dud and Blue And Cool collided on the home turn.

Grey Grouse was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Gidgee's Boss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left groin muscle, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Anton Flash was very slow to begin (10 lengths).  Victo Bale and Ducasse collided soon after the start checking Victo Bale.  One Moore Page and Ducasse collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

One Moore Page was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey musce, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Anton Flash was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.   Stewards spoke to Mrs H. Smart, Representative of the greyhound Anton Flash. Stewards deemed the performance of Anton Flash unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Anton Flash must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted

Zuletta was quick to begin.  Swift Bunny was slow to begin.  Zuletta, Kraken Tilda, Senorita Pepe and Crazy Hawke collided soon after the start checking Senorita Pepe and Kraken Tilda.  Swift Spur crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Danger Bale.

Stewards spoke to Mr Mathews, the trainer of Big Cold Burst regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Big Cold Burst last raced on 16-Mar-17. Mr Mathews stated that Big Cold Burst had split his webbing.

Marcus Daking was quick to begin.  Beksun was slow to begin.  Rattle Gate checked off Joycee Rae approaching the first turn.  Cinnamon Cindy, She's A Rebel, Jake Delight and Big Cold Burst collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Jake Delight, Big Cold Burst and She's A Rebel.  Jake Delight and Big Cold Burst collided approaching the home turn checking Jake Delight.  She's A Rebel raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Claretown Boris was slow to begin.  Tat Toby, Blue Marmion and Sunday Sipper collided soon after the start checking Blue Marmion.  Blue Marmion, All Inn Houston and Tat Scooby collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds.  Hey Hey Fozz galloped on the heels of Sunday Sipper approaching the home turn checking Sunday Sipper.  Tat Scooby checked off Sunday Sipper on the home turn.

Clear Sense and Boof's Banjo were quick to begin.  Race Roquette was slow to begin.  Clear Sense and Race Roquette collided soon after the start checking Race Roquette.  Roman Blue Jay, Minka's Destiny and Kraken Betty collided on the first turn checking Race Roquette and Kraken Betty.  Trademark Bliss checked off Roman Blue Jay on the home turn.  Kraken Betty crossed wide entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr P Dunlevey, the trainer of Petentim regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Penentim last raced on 13-Mar-17. Mr Dunlevey stated that Petentim was not racing due to a back muscle Injury.

Merry Magic, Bert's Special and Daintree Alice were slow to begin.  Eight Bells Toll, Petentim, Son Of Steve and Morta Bella collided soon after the start checking Petentim.  Eight Bells Toll and Son Of Steve collided approaching the first turn checking Eight Bells Toll.  Daintree Alice and Bert's Special collided on the first turn checking Bert's Special.  Eight Bells Toll and Daintree Alice collided approaching the home turn checking Eight Bells Toll.  Merry Magic checked off Eight Bells Toll approaching the home turn.

Red Lagoon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Bellachino was a late scratching at 6.08pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer P Furci was fined the sum of $100.
