Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Pursell, the handler of Jazz Me Blues regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Jazz Me Blues last raced on 11th of April, 2017. Mr. Pursell stated that Jazz Me Blues is returning to racing from a change of kennel.
Mr. C. Treherne trainer of Cibulkova declared a new weight of 26.8 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Cibulkova last raced at 25.6 kg's.
A pre-race sample was taken from Jazz Me Blues.
Super Stoked and Invented were quick to begin. Merriview Boss and Jazz Me Blues were slow to begin.
Allen Kev, Cibulkova and Taarie Bale collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Banjo Miss, Taarie Bale and Allen Kev collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Allen Kev checked off Merriview Boss entering the home straight. Super Stoked and Invented collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Merriview Boss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a righ back muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Jazz Me Blues was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left back muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr B. Pursell, the handler of the greyhound Jazz Me Blues regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Jazz Me Blues with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Pursell pleaded guilty to the charge, Jazz Me Blues was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
