Mr K. Lingard, trainer of Hartley Steph declared a new weight of 27.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hartley Steph last raced at 25.9kgs.

This event was delayed by approximately 1.5mins to hold for Hoosier Park Harness.

Hartley Steph was slow to begin.

Calabrese Magic crossed to the outside and checked off Lilrigg soon after the start.  Calabrese Magic and Hartley Steph collided at the 250mtr mark.  No Laying Back and Black Lesta collided at the 250mtr mark.  Slow As Thunder checked off Lilrigg at the 200mtr mark.

Ellisa's Oath displayed unsatisfactory behaviour following the event. Stewards issues that the greyhound be seen by the Club Veterinarian. On Veterinary advice a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards directed that the greyhound complete a conditional satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 71(A)(d),before any future nomination will be accepted.

Supraspinatus was a late scratching at 7.38am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Limping Miss was quick to begin.  Nunniong Fire was slow to begin.  River Wild went up with the lids and was very slow to begin (2 lengths).

In A Jam and Why Not Will collided soon after the start.  Why Not Will and Nunniong Fire collided approaching the 300mtr mark.  In A Jam checked off Bar Chat at the 250mtr mark.  In A Jam and Bar Chat collided at the 200mtr mark checking Bar Chat and Why Not Will.  In A Jam and Nunniong Fire collided at the 100mtr mark.

Billy's Entity crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Burnout.  Peter Galo and Billy's Entity collided at the 250mtr mark.  Ridgy Boy and Baby Houseman collided at the 200mtr mark.  Baby Houseman checked off Ridgy Boy at the 150mtr mark.

Latissimus Dorsi was a late scratching at 7.35am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Buzz Nation and Riverdale Danger collided soon after the start to the 150mtr mark checking both greyhounds.

Cosmic Jewel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained cardiovascular problem, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Galaxy Star and Cosmic Spur collided soon after the start.  Silver Banjo and Another Hope collided at the 300mtr mark.  Cosmic Spur crossed to the outside at the 300mtr mark.  Another Hope, Oliver Cruise, Bless ‘Em All and Inter Elesha collided at the 250mtr mark.  Inter Elesha and Oliver Cruise collided at the 200mtr mark.  Another Hope and Silver Banjo collided at the 200mtr mark checking Another Hope.  Silver Banjo and Oliver Cruise collided at the 150mtr mark checking Silver Banjo.

Stewards spoke to Mr C Kas, the trainer of Bling Worthy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bling Worthy last raced 6 May, 2017 and is returning from a right stopper injury.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms A. Powell, the trainer of You Betcha Jorge regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  You Betcha Jorge last raced on 17th December, 2016. Ms Powell stated that the greyhound was returning from a left achilles injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, You Betcha Jorge trialled over the 300mtrs from box 3, weight 31.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 16.98, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 13.5 lengths. You Betcha Jorge was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms A. Powell, the trainer of Swift Joker regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Swift Joker last raced on 17th November, 2016. Ms Powell stated that the greyhound was returning from a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Swift Joker trialled over the 300mtrs from box 5, weight 32.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 16.98, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7lengths. Swift Joker was Cleared.
