A pre-race sample was taken from Lady Bullseye.
Another Shiner went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3L).
Heard A Rumour and Fred Dagg collided on the first turn, checking Heard A Rumour and severely checking Fred Dagg which fell as a result.
Heard A Rumour was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain to the left wrist. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
Fred Dagg was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right fore stopper. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Neville Haigh, trainer of Fred Dagg, regarding the control of his greyhound at the boxes and reminded him of his responsibilities in accordance with GAR 51(9) to avoid an unnecessary delay. Mr Haigh stated he would not be handling in future events.
