Steward's Report
Powerful Lomar was quick to begin. Greysynd Ebony and Badelaide Road were slow to begin.
Desingenous and Sneak Preview collided soon after the start and again on the first turn, checking Sneak Preview and Doc Nam. Badelaide Road crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Disingenous. Disingenous and Doc Nam collided in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
Remembering Rod lost ground in the home straight and was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramping, diaphragmatic flutter (thumps) and an injury to the right quadriceps muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Vanessa Watson, the trainer of the greyhound Remembering Rod. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
