Desingenous and Sneak Preview collided soon after the start and again on the first turn, checking Sneak Preview and Doc Nam. Badelaide Road crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Disingenous. Disingenous and Doc Nam collided in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.

Remembering Rod lost ground in the home straight and was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramping, diaphragmatic flutter (thumps) and an injury to the right quadriceps muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Vanessa Watson, the trainer of the greyhound Remembering Rod. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Belron Bliss was a late scratching at 4:11PM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a split beneath the paw. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs C Fisher, representing her son and trainer of the greyhound Frontier, Mr Shayne Fisher, regarding the loss of the greyhound's ID card. Mrs Fisher indicated the intention to apply for a replacement card and no further action was taken.

Rocket Ruby and Frontier were slow to begin.

Rocket Ruby and In A Jam collided on the first turn, checking In A Jam. Greysynd Alpha, Piccolo Dancer and Luka's Choice collided on the first turn, checking Piccolo Dancer and Luka's Choice. Royal Intention was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left gracilis (back) muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jamie Ennis, representative of Royal Intention, regarding the greyhound performing below market expectations. Mr Ennis stated that the greyhound was having it's second start back following a long recovery from a shoulder injury, and was subject to interference throughout the race. Stewards determined that no further action was required.

Banjo Snoopy was slow to begin.
