Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr David Condon, the trainer of Superior Zoe, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Superior Zoe last raced on 8 January 2017 (and trialled at Healesville on 21 July). Mr Condon stated that the greyhound had been spelling.
Buzz Nation and Supraspinatus were slow to begin.
Chief Paddy and Deadline collided soon after the start. Nancy's Delight checked off the heels of Billy's Entity soon after the start. Deadline checked off the heels of Billy's Entity at the 300m mark. Deadline marred Supraspinatus approaching the 250m mark, checking both greyhounds. Deadline and Supraspinatus collided at the 150m mark.
Supraspinatus was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Daniel Pell, the trainer of the greyhound Deadline, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the 250m mark. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Deadline with marring. Mr Pell pleaded guilty to the charge, Deadline was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A sample was taken from Billy's Entity, the winner of the event.
