Archaeology and Iona Michelle collided approaching the first turn, checking Spring Ripper. Oimby Allen galloped on Archaeology on the first turn, severely checking Oimby Allen, Archaeology, Iona Michelle, Giant Bale and Why Not Kylie; Why Not Kylie, Iona Michelle and Giant Bale raced wide as a result. Why Not Kylie and Iona Michelle collided approaching the second turn, checking both greyhounds. Giant Bale checked off Why Not Kylie entering the back straight, checking Iona Michelle. Spring Ripper and Vinaka Oscar collided entering the home straight. Why Not Kylie and Iona Michelle collided several times in the home straight.
