Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) lure driver Mr C Chilcott did not act in any official capacity for this event.
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Xava Bale; a post-race sample was subsequently collected from the greyhound which was the winner of the event.
Idabelle Bale and Lila Bale were quick to begin. Lila Bale crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Idabelle Bale and Jaclyn Bale. Lottie Glenda, Dyna Misty and Scrappy Doo collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Misty. Xava Allen and Just Add Colour collided soon after the start, checking Just Add Colour and Lottie Glenda. Jaclyn Bale and Lila Bale collided several times approaching the first turn. Xava Allen, Just Add Colour and Scrappy Doo collided on the first turn, checking Just Add Colour and Scrappy Doo. Idabelle Bale checked off Scrappy Doo on the first turn, severely checking Idabelle Bale and Lottie Glenda which raced wide as a result. Jaclyn Bale, Xava Allen and Lila Bale collided approaching the third turn, checking Lila Bale and Scrappy Doo. Jaclyn Bale and Xava Allen collided several times approaching the home turn. Lila Bale faltered approaching the home turn and lost considerable ground.
Lila Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left sartorius (pencil) and tensor fascia (triangle) muscles. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
