Steward's Report

Nymeria was slow to begin.

Mepunga Fame and Cash In Motion collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Skate Thin Ice, Mepunga Fame and Cash In Motion collided on the first turn.  Skate Thin Ice and Mepunga Fame collided on the second turn.  Cash In Motion and Star Torana collided on the third turn.  Nymeria marred the running of Shared Equity approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Nymeria was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left metatarsal abrasion, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Ennis, the handler of the greyhound Nymeria regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Nymeria with marring. Mr. J Ennis pleaded guilty to the charge, Nymeria was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
