Stewards spoke to Mr G. Paez (representing Trainer, Mrs C Paez) regarding the length of time Von Costa Kahn has had between races. Von Costa Kahn last raced on 27 November, 2016 and is returning after a back muscle injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Jack's Miss.
Von Costa Kahn, Suave Odessa and Jack's Miss collided soon after the start. Krank Panda crossed to the rails at the 200m mark.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - (Weight Trial) Stewards spoke to Ms G Lemin (representing Trainer, R Hodgson) of greyhound Phoenix Czar regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Phoenix Czar last raced on 12 October, 2016. Ms. Lemin stated that the greyhound was returning from a righ shoulder injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Phoenix Czar trialled over 300m from Box 1, weight 33.6kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 17.02, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8.75 lengths. Phoenix Czar was cleared.

The time of the trial was 17.02, the greyhound won by 6.25 lengths. Cole Prosser was cleared.
