Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs J. Torr, the handler of Steppin' Out regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Steppin' Out last raced on 6 February, 2016. Mrs. Torr stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right wrist injury.
Blackheart Bruce was slow to begin. Black Lesta, Nitro Heroine and Prince Stealth collided soon after the start checking Nitro Heroine. Steppin's Out checked off the heels of Nippy Allen approaching the first turn. Clock The Gas, Nippy Allen, Prince Stealth and Black Lesta collided approaching the first turn severely checking Black Lesta and checking Prince Stealth. Blackheart Bruce, Steppin' Out and Prince Stealth collided approaching the home turn checking Steppin' Out. Black Lesta and Steppin' Out raced wide on the home turn. Blackheart Bruce and Prince Stealth collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Blackheart Bruce was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
