Prior to the All Clear being given Stewards declared hold all tickets to view the patrol footage of the start. Prior to the boxes opening the safety chain that is connected to the side of the boxes broke with the remaining chain flinging back and striking the grill of the number one box as the boxes were about to activate. Pursuant to GAR 56 (1) Stewards declared this event a No Race.
