Where's Lachie was slow to begin.  Blue Cat Wombat and Lanky Lurch collided soon after the start severely checking Lanky Lurch which stumbled as a result.  Blue Cat Wombat and Ann Cherie collided approaching the first turn checking Ann Cherie.  Blue Cat Wombat and Rasleigh Banser collided on the first turn checking Rasleigh Banser.  Where's Lachie and Lanky Lurch collided approaching the home turn checking Where's Lachie. Jebreco Surprise raced wide on the home turn.  Where's Lachie raced wide in the home straight.

Joe's Dolly was quick to begin.  Colonel and Zipping Moore were slow to begin.  Wanneroo, Gotcha Mate, Clyde's Classy and Elite Cheeky collided on the first turn checking Gotcha Mate, Clyde's Classy and Elite Cheeky.  Zipping Moore and Colonel collided on the first turn checking Elite Cheeky.  Clyde's Classy and Elite Cheeky collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Clyde's Classy and Elite Cheeky collided approaching the winning post.

Jebrynah Roma and Flash Robbie were quick to begin.  Raise Your Paws, Zipping Foy, Shamus Mac and Our Echo Rose were slow to begin.  Zipping Foy crossed out soon after the start checking Our Echo Rose.  One Way Ticket crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Detroit Wally.  One Way Ticket galloped on Jebrynah Roma on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  One Way Ticket checked off Jebrynah Roma on the home turn.  Detroit Wally raced wide on the home turn.  Flash Robbie and Detroit Wally collided several times in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Riverbank Rogue was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have diaphragmatic Flutter (Thumps).  No stand down period was imposed.

Steel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated left hind toe, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Creighton, the trainer of Lyley Lass regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lyley Lass last raced on 19th January 2017.  Mr. Creighton stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Floyd, the trainer of There's Steamy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  There's Steamy last raced on 30th december 2016.  Mr. Floyd stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.
