Cruisy's Empress was quick to begin. Riveting and Arolok Jane were slow to begin. African Rhino, Tronic Flash and Stolen collided soon after the start checking Tronic Flash and Stolen. African Rhino and Pomp Fiction collided on the first turn checking African Rhino, Tronic Flash, Riveting, Stolen and Arolok Jane. Arolok Jane faltered approaching the home turn and pulled up as a result. Pomp Fiction and Cruisy's Empress collided on the home turn.
Arolok Jane was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
