Steward's Report
Mr A.Marum was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers and card were produced for the greyhound Proven Les pursuant to GAR 33.
A pre-race sample was taken from McIvor Gordon. McIvor Gordon and My Name's Polly were slow to begin. Divino checked off Minnie Ha Ha on the first turn. Hot Charcoal, Burst Of Magic and My Name's Polly collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Divino checked off My Name's Polly in the back straight. Divino galloped on the heels of Highfield Bones approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Hot Charcoal marred Proven Les in the home straight checking Proven Les. Minnie Ha Ha and McIvor Gordon collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Hot Charcoal was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms. S. Warde, the handler of the greyhound Hot Charcoal regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Hot Charcoal with marring. Ms. Warde pleaded guilty to the charge, Hot Charcoal was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
