Dodby Dede and Fuelish collided soon after the start. Brylin and Shima Song collided approaching the first turn checking Dodgy Dede and Dream Ticket. Brylin raced wide approaching the second turn causing Dream Ticket to gallop on the heels of Brylin checking both greyhounds as a result. Black Illusion and American Monster collided on the second turn checking American Monster. Fuelish and American Monster collided entering the back straight. American Monster clipped the heels of Black Illusion on the home turn. Brylin lost ground on the home turn.
American Monster was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to both deltoids, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
