Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Invictus Blu upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Dream Edition was slow to begin. Dream Edition checked off Weston East soon after the start. Weston East and Invictus Blu collided soon after the start. Blue Revolver and Weston East collided soon after the start. Dr. Don, Hercules Bale, Liam and Invictus Blu collided on the first turn checking Hercules Bale, Liam, Weston East and Invictus Blu causing Weston East to gallop on the heels of Invictus Blu, severely checking Invictus Blu and causing Blue Revolver and Dream Edition to race wide as a result. Invictus Blu subsequently faltered and tailed off. Dr. Don and Liam collided approaching the home turn. Dr. Don and Zipping Zeus collided entering the home straight.
Invictus Blu was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left achilles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
