Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Donaldson, the trainer of Manhattan Mandy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Manhattan Mandy last raced on 17th December 2016. Mr. Donaldson stated that the greyhound was returning from being on season.
A pre race sample was taken from Petite Senorita.
Audacious Mickan was slow to begin. Barnie's Blaster, Stoppa Bus and Manhattan Mandy collided on the first turn checking Manhattan Mandy. Audacious Mickan and Proven Mona collided approaching the home turn checking Proven Mona. Stylish Bree checked off Barnie's Blaster and Proven Mona and collided with Manhattan Mandy on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Stylish Bree was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hip. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Ms. J. Walker, the trainer of Stylish Bree regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms. N. Perkins, the trainer of Blue Sky Babe regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Blue Sky Babe last raced on 7th August 2016. Ms. Perkins stated that the greyhound was returning from being spelled and seasonal and a change of kennels Pursuant to GAR 77A, Blue Sky Babe trialled over the 390mts from box 1, weight 26.7kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.61, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10L. Blue Sky Babe was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs. B. Kinder, the trainer of Hanga regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Hanga last raced on 22nd August 2016. Mrs. Kinder stated that the greyhound was returning from a toe injury. Mrs. Kinder also declared a new weight of for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hanga last raced at 30.5kg. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Hanga trialled over the 390mts from box 7, weight 29.1kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.61, the greyhound won by a margin of 2L. Hanga was cleared.
