Arctic Blaze was slow to begin. Murrabit Betty, Bonna Bale and Allen Kappa collided soon after the start, checking Bonna Bale and Allen Kappa. Kalara checked off Rock It Ronny soon after the start. Allen Kappa checked off Kalara approaching the first turn. Murrabit Betty checked off Podium Express on the home turn, checking Rock It Ronny and Arctic Blaze, which raced wide as a result. Rock It Ronny and Kalara collided in the home straight. Podium Express checked off Cosmic Guru in the home straight. Arctic Blaze and Rock It Ronny raced wide in the home straight. Bonna Bale and Cosmic Guru collided approaching the winning post.
Allen Kappa was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbling to the left hindleg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
