Suspicious Lee was quick to begin. Nangar Tiger and Heartbreak Love were slow to begin and collided soon after the start, checking Nangar Tiger. Seabrook Dill, Miss Just Under and Archi Willow collided approaching the first turn, checking Miss Just Under, Archi Willow and Nangar Tiger. Benny's Promise and Heartbreak Love collided on the home turn, checking Heartbreak Love. Don's Shy Girl, Benny's Promise and Heartbreak Love raced wide in the home straight. Miss Just Under and Heartbreak Love collided in the home straight.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr S Knight, the trainer of Green Stone, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Green Stone last raced on 7 May 2016. Mr Knight stated that the greyhound was returning after an extended spell following two seasons. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Green Stone trialled over the 400m from box one, weight 28.6 kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23:00, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.25 lengths. Green Stone was Not Cleared.
