Front Page Lead was a late scratching at 5:20PM after the trainer, Mr Pieter Smoor, presented the incorrect greyhound to stewards at kenneling. Stewards subsequently charged Mr Smoor with a breach of GAR31(1), failure to present the correct greyhound. Mr Smoor pleaded guilty to the charge and was found guilty by stewards. In determining a penalty, stewards took into consideration all relevant circumstances including similar incidents and Mr Smoor's guilty plea. Mr Smoor was fined $250.

Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Red Hot Millie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Fullerton pleaded guilty to the charge; Red Hot Millie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
