Steward's Report
Price Is Right was slow to begin. Cosmic Fox, Flying Class and Cailah Rose collided approaching the first turn. He's Clever, Cailah Rose and Flying Class collided on the first turn checking Cailah Rose and He's Clever and severely checking Why Not Cory which lost ground; Flying Class and Price Is Right fell as a result.
Flying Class was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the Left Hock, No days stand down.
Price Is Right was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Carter the trainer of Why Not Cory by telephone after he left the course without steward's permission. Mr. Carter will present the dog at Cranbourne GRC on 18th April, 2017 for a vet check.
A sample was taken from Iconic Chief - the winner of the event.
18/4/17:
Mr. Greg. Carter the trainer of Why Not Cory presented the greyhound for a veterinary examination as directed above, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Mr. Greg Carter was also issued with a warning regarding him leaving / removing Why Not Cory from the kennels at the Sale meeting without stewards permission.
