Destini Montana, Perfect Storm and Gotcha Mate were slow to begin.  Destini Montana was held up for a run approaching the first turn.  Penny Lane Keats, Okay Pumpkin, Buzz Rash and Marvellous Midge collided on the first turn checking Okay Pumpkin and Marvellous Midge.  Our Bravo Rose and Perfect Storm collided several times approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Perfect Storm.

Mr. S. Trotman, trainer of Our Mojo declared a new weight of 32.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Our Mojo last raced at 34.4kgs.

Stewards checked the track prior to the running of this event due to one unserviceable light tower.  Stewards deemed, from track level that it was safe to continue with the one light tower out at this time.

Shamus Mac and Our Mojo were slow to begin.  Our Mojo and Sprint Tee collided soon after the start.  Lanky Lurch and Elite Eliana  collided approaching the first turn checking Lanky Lurch, Our Mojo and Shamus Mac.

Majik Mikado was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Smitten was quick to begin.  Flying Danger, Our Charlie Rose, Flash Mikado and Amber's Romance collided soon after the start checking Flash Mikado which stumbled.  Amber's Romance checked off Give Away King approaching the first turn.  Why Not Josie checked off Our Charlie Rose on the first turn.

Cosmic Therapy, Zipping Emma and Taabinga Fella were slow to begin.  Honouring Percy and Dundee Ally collided approaching the first turn.  Credit Entry checked off Honouring Percy on the first turn.  Aston Emilio and Honouring Percy collided on the second turn.  Cosmic Therapy galloped on Zipping Emma on the second turn severely checking Cosmic Therapy.  Taabinga Fella and Credit Entry collided approaching the home turn.  Jay Jay Bee raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Lonesome Dude was quick to begin.  Lissa Breen was slow to begin.  Invictus Rapid, Lektra Roy, Aston Powers and Share collided approaching the first turn checking Share and Lissa Breen.  Always About Me and Invictus Rapid collided on the first turn.  Share checked off Aston Powers in the back straight.  Lektra Roy faltered approaching the second turn and lost ground.

Lektra Roy was vetted and after being re vetted following event 9, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind pencil muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Philou, Hit Legs and Phillip Keeping collided soon after the start checking Aston Philou and Hit Legs.  Shanlyn George and Eduardo Rose collided on the first turn.  Hit Legs and Hundred collided approaching the home turn checking Hundred.  Shot To Glory tired in the home straight.

Shot To Glory was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Tambo Flash checked off Pantera Nera approaching the first turn.  Aston Bolero checked off Pantera Nera on the first turn.  Tambo Flash and Tumble And Dry collided on the first turn checking Tambo Flash.  Crash Zone and Tumble And Dry collided approaching the home turn checking Tumble And Dry.  Crash Zone and Tumble And Dry collided entering the home straight checking Tumble And Dry.  Fairy Pretty and Cosmic Missile collided in the home straight.

Destructo Rat was quick to begin.  Sir Roderick, Evelyn and Tarsier were slow to begin and collided soon after the start and again on the first turn checking Sir Roderick and severely checking Evelyn which stumbled. Fawn Nova and Diama Bale collided on the second turn.  Sir Roderick and Destructo Rat collided several times approaching the home turn.

Evelyn was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Price Is Right was slow to begin.  Cosmic Fox, Flying Class and Cailah Rose collided approaching the first turn.  He's Clever, Cailah Rose and Flying Class collided on the first turn checking Cailah Rose and He's Clever and severely checking Why Not Cory which lost ground; Flying Class and Price Is Right fell as a result.

Flying Class was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the Left Hock, No days stand down.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Carter the trainer of Why Not Cory by telephone after he left the course without steward's permission.  Mr. Carter will present the dog at Cranbourne GRC on 18th April, 2017 for a vet check.

Mr. Greg. Carter the trainer of Why Not Cory presented the greyhound for a veterinary examination as directed above, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Mr. Greg Carter was also issued with a warning regarding him leaving / removing Why Not Cory from the kennels at the Sale meeting without stewards permission.

Explosive Sky and Wolfbane McCabe were slow to begin.  Simply Mystic, Kadalex Kid, Gone Early and Lektra Damage collided soon after the start checking Kadalex Kid.  Simply Mystic, Lonesome Katie and Gone Early collided approaching the first turn checking Simply Mystic and Lonesome Katie.  Simply Mystic and Gone Early collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Explosive Sky and Lonesome Katie collided approaching the home turn.  Simply Mystic and Lonesome Katie collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

See That was slow to begin.  Whatta Rebel, Crimson Sally and Another Spritely collided soon after the start.  Another Spritely, Aston Tulloch and My Names Rhonda collided approaching the first turn.  Taabinga Sprite clipped the heels of Another Spritely on the first turn checking Another Spritely, Taabinga Sprite and Aston Tulloch.  Crimson Sally checked off My Names Rhonda approaching the home turn.  My Names Rhonda and One More Des collided approaching the home turn checking Taabinga Sprite.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Zipping Tina trialled over the 440m from box 3, weight 24.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 25.44, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.5 lengths.   Zipping Tina was Not Cleared. (Eased approaching the home turn).

Satisfactory Trial Results -  Zipping Clover trialled over the 440m from box 7, weight 28.7kgs, the greyhound pulled up approaching the home turn in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 25.44.  Zipping Clover was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results -  Lakeview Maisey trialled over the 440m from box 8, weight 31.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 25.44, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10 lengths.   Lakeview Maisey was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Zelemar Cocoa  trialled over the 440m from box 5, weight 27.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 25.44,  the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 lengths.  Zelemar Cocoa was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Harper, the trainer of Omega Vera regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Omega Vera last raced on 17th November, 2016.  Mr. Harper stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Omega Vera trialled over the 440m from box 1, weight 29.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 25.44,  the greyhound won by a margin of 1.5 lengths.  Omega Vera was Cleared.
