Meehan Barney, Blackpool Donny and Queen Quick collided approaching the home turn checking Meehan Barney, Blackpool Donny and Gregorovitch.  Queen Quick eased and crossed to the outside in the home straight and collided with Our Didda; both greyhounds were checked as a result.  Queen Quick crossed to the rail approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Dailly, the representative of the greyhound Queen Quick regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Queen Quick was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right sesamoid and right thigh.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Queen Quick with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge.  Queen Quick was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S Bauer, the trainer of Our Didda regarding comments made about the greyhound Queen Quick to Mrs. A Dailly. Mr. Bauer pleaded guilty to a charge of GAR 86(q) and was issued with a severe reprimand. In determining this decision stewards considered Mr. Bauer's apology to Mr. T Dailly and his remorse for his actions.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Forbes, the trainer of Sugar Roselee regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Sugar Roselee last raced on 9th December, 2016.  Mr. Forbes stated that Sugar Roselee was returning to race after being on season.

Mr. K. Tirchett,  trainer of Makikos declared a new weight of 24.9kgs  for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Makikos last raced at 26.3kgs.

Windmills, Golden Tears and My Echidna were slow to begin.  Windmills checked off Sugar Roselee soon after the start and stumbled as a result.  Windmills checked off Golden Tears approaching the first turn.  Puddle Jumper, Makikos and Sugar Roselee collided approaching the first turn checking Makikos and Sugar Roselee.  Puddle Jumper galloped on the heels of Right Said Frank on the first turn checking Right Said Frank, Puddle Jumper, Makikos, Sugar Roselee and My Echidna.  Windmills checked off Sugar Roselee approaching the home turn.  Sugar Roselee and Makikos collided on the home turn checking Makikos.  Makikos, Windmills and My Echidna collided approaching the winning post.

Monoak was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to its left hind toe (digit 4).  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. H. Collins, the representative of Hercules Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Hercules Bale last raced on 10th December, 2016.  Mrs. Collins stated that Hercules Bale was returning to race after sustaining an injury to the right hip support.
