Steward's Report
Naomi Allen and Quen Bale were quick to begin. Shout Aloud was slow to begin. Tarkedia Spring, Sudden Change and Toon Town collided approaching the first turn, checking Tarkedia Spring and Sudden Change. Tarkedia Spring and Sudden Change collided on the first turn, checking Sudden Change. Sudden Change eased approaching the home turn and collided with Shout Aloud, resulting in Shout Aloud being severely checked. Tarkedia Spring raced wide approaching the home turn. Platinum Osti checked off Toon Town in the home straight.
Sudden Change was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Mr D Trewin, trainer of the greyhound Sudden Change, declined for the greyhound to be re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr D Trewin, the trainer of the greyhound Sudden Change, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Sudden Change with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Trewin pleaded guilty to the charge, Sudden Change was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Shout Aloud was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
