A pre-race sample was taken from Bewildering.
Allen Ichiro, Our Didda and Beanbag were quick to begin. Rapanui Revival was slow to begin. Our Didda and Beanbag collided approaching the first turn. Nosey and Zipping Luna collided approaching the first turn, checking Zipping Luna, Bewildering and Rapanui Revival. Abergavenny checked off Nosey on the first turn, severely checking Abergavenny and Zipping Luna. Bewildering checked off Nosey on the second turn. Rapanui Revival and Bewildering collided several times in the back straight and again on the third turn, checking Rapanui Revival.
Rapanui Revival was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left and right foreleg deltoid inuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
