Steward's Report
Due to the postponement of Gosford thoroughbreds the event was rescheduled to start at 2:42pm.
A pre-race sample was taken from Emily Skye.
Major Think and Emily Skye collided soon after the start. Major Think galloped on Bolare approaching the first turn checking Bolare and severely checking Mystic Melody and Major Think. Major Think was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right monkey muscle and left wrist. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
A sample was taken from Barby Que, 2nd placegetter.
Stewards issued a warning to Mrs. M. Schmidt, the handler of Major Think regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
