Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Vanderville.
Miss Barbados, Parisian Magic and Vanderville were quick to begin. Karise Fusileer checked off Parisian Magic on the home turn. Paula's Delight marred Karise Fusileer on the home turn causing both greyhounds to fall. Silky Strings raced wide in the home straight.
Karise Fusileer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left thigh. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
Paula's Delight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left fore foot. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. P. Macklin, the trainer of the greyhound Paula's Delight regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Paula's Delight with marring. Ms. Macklin pleaded guilty to the charge, Paula's Delight was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
