Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Acquainted.
Irish Connection and Regional Chief were slow to begin. Major Nippa, Nitro Power and Acquainted collided soon after the start, checking Nitro Power. Nitro Power checked off Regional Chief at the 300m mark. Major Nippa, Acquainted and Amlin Prince collided several times at the 250m mark. Regional Chief faltered at the 200m mark severely checking Nitro Power which lost considerable ground, Regional Chief tailed off as a result. Major Nippa and Acquainted collided at the 150m mark and approaching the winning post. Chubby Lane raced wide throughout the event.
Regional Chief was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg pencil/whip injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Nitro Power was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
