Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms P.Boots, the trainer of Senorita Amy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Senorita Amy last raced on 12th October, 2016. Ms Boots stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a left shoulder injury and seasonal.
Senorita Amy was a late scratching at 5:51PM due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Toss.
Current Climate was very slow to begin (3.5 lengths). Toss, Billy Emgrand and Claretown Happy collided approaching the first turn. Tri Code Saint, Billy Emgrand and Claretown Happy collided on the first turn, checking Toss. Billy Emgrand and Tri Code Saint collided approaching the home turn. Toss, Gold Trail and Claretown Happy collided approaching the home turn.
Current Climate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right flexor tendon injury and a left stifle injury, a fourteen day stand down period was imposed.
