Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Bluey Fields engaged in this event on 22/02/2017 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Proven Kodiak.
Scooby Who and Indi Allen collided soon after the start. Rock Up Top and Wicked Pedro collided approaching the first turn. Scooby Who checked off Indi Allen approaching the first turn. Proven Kodiak, Rock Up Top and Wicked Pedro collided on the first turn checking Proven Kodiak. Rock Up Top and Wicked Pedro collided several times approaching the second turn severely checking Proven Kodiak and Wicked Pedro which tailed off as a result. Indi Allen and Harlon collided on the third turn. Scooby Who and Rock Up Top collided on the home turn. Indi Allen and Harlon collided on the home turn.
Proven Kodiak was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Wicked Pedro was vetted following the event. It was reported there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards reminded Mr D. Di Nezza of his responsibilities after he failed to catch the greyhound Scooby Who in this event.
