Steward's Report
Texas Titan was slow to begin. Texas Titan and One Cup Short collided soon after the start. Can Can Hurrican, Callum's Mum and Ima Misha Doll collided soon after the start checking Callum's Mum. Texas Titan, One Cup Short, Prancing Magic and City Rambler collided in the front straight checking Texas Titan, One Cup Short, Prancing Magic, City Rambler and Callum's Mum. Texas Titan and City Rambler collided in the front straight. One Cup Short checked off Prancing Magic approaching the second turn. Can Can Hurrican and Ima Misha Doll collided on the second turn. One Cup Short checked off Kilcolegan Cross entering the home straight and collided with Texas Titan.
Callum's Mum was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Prancing Magic was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 6, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right calf and right wrist. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Xerri, the trainer of the greyhound Prancing Magic. Stewards deemed the performance of Prancing Magic unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Prancing Magic must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
