Paraphernalia and Take The Crown were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Anti Dentite and Deadly Pace collided several times soon after the start. Jesaulenko checked off Igor Karkaroff on the first turn, checking Deadly Pace, Dundee Cobra and Paraphernalia. Deadly Pace lost ground in the back straight. Igor Karkaroff contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. 

Following the event Igor Karkaroff collapsed in the catching pen and was attendant by the on-track Veterinarian, Dr Michael Bell. The greyhound was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound had an apparent seizure. No stand down penalty was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr I.Cockerell, the trainer of Igor Karkaroff and advised him that the greyhound would be monitored in future events.

Deadly Pace was vetted and revetted following event 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back, right calf and right hamstring muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Lektra Hombre and American Monster were slow to begin. American Monster, Destini Scorcher and Absolute Power collided soon after the start. Destini Scorcher and Absolute Power collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Lektra Hombre. Marley Blue, Walk On By and American Monster collided approaching the first turn, checking Walk On By. American Monster and Marley Blue collided approaching the second turn, checking American Monster. Destini Scorcher and Absolute Power collided on the second turn. Walk On By, Destini Scorcher and Absolute Power collided on the third turn, severely checking all three greyhounds. Destini Scorcher checked off Absolute Power on the home turn. Lektra Hombre raced wide on the home turn. 

Repayments was slow to begin. Repayments checked off Walt Bale soon after the start. Walt Bale and Repayments collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Cadence Bale checked off Paranoia approaching the second turn.

Kenny Flash was slow to begin. What's Up Herbie, Channing and Percy's Lad collided soon after the start. What's Up Herbie, Channing and Kenny Flash collided on the first turn. Eaton Bale and What's Up Herbie collided on the second turn. Howies Flyer veered out and marred the running of Maury Spirit entering the back straight. What's Up Herbie galloped on the heels of Howies Flyer on the third turn. Howies Flyer veered out and marred the running of What's Up Herbie on the home turn and again in the home straight. 

Howies Flyer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr P.Carmichael, the trainer of the greyhound Howies Flyer regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight, on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Howies Flyer with marring. Mr Carmichael pleaded guilty to the charge, Howies Flyer was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Unlawful Entry, Eisenhower and Marlow Brown were slow to begin. Golden and Both Sides Now collided soon after the start. Tywin Bale, Dyna Jonah and Golden collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Jonah, severely checking Both Sides Now, Eisenhower, Marlow Brown and causing Unlawful Entry to fall. Aston Ebert checked off Tywin Bale on the home turn. Dyna Jonah and Golden collided on the home turn, checking Golden. 

Unlawful Entry, which fell on the first turn, ran back into the field in the home straight. As a result, Stewards declared 'Hold All Tickets'. Based on their own observations and after reviewing the official race footage, Stewards determined that the incident had not affected the placings. Stewards subsequently declared 'All Clear' on the numbers 1-2-4-7.

It's Classified and Allen Marky were quick to begin. Snakebite Bale and Zipping Chubbz were slow to begin. Destini Wildfire, He's So Good and Lektra Bandit collided soon after the start, checking Lektra Bandit. Destini Wildfire checked off Allen Marky approaching the first turn, checking Snakebite Bale. Allen Marky, He's So Good and Carbon Racer collided on the first turn, checking He's So Good, Carbon Racer, severely checking Zipping Chubbz and Lektra Bandit. Snakebite Bale severely checking Carbon Racer approaching the second turn. Snakebite Bale checked off Zipping Chubbz on the second turn. Cool Whipp and Jailor Bale collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn, checking Cool Whipp. Letron James checked off Midwinter on the second turn. Midwinter and Allen Zhara collided on the third turn. Letron James checked off Jailor Bale collided approaching the home turn, checking Cool Whipp. Jailor Bale checked off Allen Zhara entering the home straight.

Allen Oregon was a late scratching at 12:38pm due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Worm Burner, American Warrior and Wapi Sakima were slow to begin. Roll 'Em Sharky crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking American Warrior and Wapi Sakima. Dyna Juggler and Kiowa Jones collided approaching the first turn. American Warrior and Roll 'Em Sharky collided approaching the first turn, checking Roll 'Em Sharky and Worm Burner. Roll 'Em Sharky and Worm Burner collided on the second turn, checking Roll 'Em Sharky. Aeroplane Bob and Kiowa Jones collided in the back straight, checking Aeroplane Bob. Aeroplane Bob checked off Kiowa Jones on the third turn. Dyna Juggler and American Warrior collided approaching the home turn, checking American Warrior. Worm Burner raced wide on the home turn.

Silvertop was quick to begin. Zipping Kane, Alpha Hermes, Our Zayney Nash and Backline Willy collided soon after the start, checking Alpha Hermes, Our Zayney Nash and Backline Willy. My Silver Chisel crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Zipping Kane, Ernest Bale, Our Zayney Nash and Backline Willy. Zipping Kane and Alpha Hermes collided on the first turn, checking Zipping Kane, Alpha Hermes, Our Zayney Nash and Backline Willy. Silvertop checked off My Silver Chisel entering the back straight, checking Allen Membo, severely checking Zipping Kane and Silvertop. Alpha Hermes checked off Allen Membo on the third turn. Backline Willy brushed the running rail on the third turn and lost ground. Our Zayney Nash checked off Allen Membo in the home straight.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Tron Bradman engaged in this event on 14 December, 2015 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Harlon was quick to begin. Ponting's Nail and Bruce Tycoon collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Tron Bradman and Just In Hodges collided several times approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Just In Hodges. Ponting's Nail and Bruce Tycoon collided on the first turn. Just In Hodges checked off Bruce Tycoon in the back straight and again on the third turn. Duff Bale checked off Mepunga Joffa on the home turn. Ponting's Nail and Tron Bradman raced wide in the home straight. 

Meeting Comments:

The kennels opened at 5:30pm due to the hot weather.

Following an alleged incident in the catching pen area subsequent to Race Four,  Stewards took evidence from a number of officials and licensed persons. An Inquiry into the matter was adjourned to a date to be fixed. Whilst providing evidence to the inquiry after race twelve,  licensed person Mr Bernard Courts relinquished his licence to Stewards. Acting under LLR 11.4 Stewards deemed the license of Mr Courts to be cancelled from that time.
