Steward's Report
Bird Special and Deano's Gadget collided soon after the start. Keep Warm, Casanova, Deano's Gadget and Cette For Galory collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Greysynd Chief crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Sunday Sipper, Apatchy Racer and Bird Special. Casanova and Cette For Galory collided on the second turn. Casanova checked off Cette For Galory entering the back straight. Sunday Sipper galloped on the heels of Keep Warm in the back straight checking both greyhounds. Keep Warm checked off Bird Special in the home straight.
Casanova was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Greysynd Chief, the winner of the event.
Subsequent to the event, Stewards spoke to Mr M. Said, Trainer of Casanova, and reminded him of his responsibilities regarding the need to follow directions from Stewards.
