Secretary Bird and Lady Torah were slow to begin.  Contemplate checked off Mississippi Girl approaching the first turn.  Secretary Bird, Contemplate and Lady Torah collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Jodie's Knee and One Cup Short collided on the first turn.  Secretary Bird veered out and marred Contemplate on the first turn checking Contemplate as a result.  Mississippi Girl and Junner Bale collided entering the home straight.  Jodie's Knee and Junner Bale collided approaching the winning post.

Secretary Bird was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right calf, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Ms J. Walker, Trainer of Secretary Bird. Acting under GAR 69(1), Stewards charged Secretary Bird with marring.  Ms Walker pleaded not guilty to the charge, Secretary Bird was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months, All Tracks, and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Contemplate was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Isabella Cargo was slow to begin.  Able Chief and Alouette Magic collided on the first turn checking Alouette Magic.  Isabella Cargo checked off Able Chief on the first turn.  Mum's Gem and Isabella Cargo collided on the second turn.  Mum's Gem and Alouette Magic collided on the second turn.  Able Chief checked off Ultimate Jack entering the front straight checking Tricky Mover.  El Chana checked off Ultimate Jack on the third turn. Isabella Cargo and Alouette Magic collided entering the back straight checking Isabella Cargo which tailed off as a result.  Ultimate Jack checked off Able Chief on the fifth turn.  Mum's Gem, El Chana and Ultimate Jack collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds.

Come On Fantasy and Wince Allen collided on the first turn.  Cadence Bale, Waymore's Blues and Perfect Tess collided on the first turn.  Cadence Bale and Waymore's Blues collided entering the front straight.  Come On Fantasy, Wince Allen and Become The Fuse collided approaching the second turn checking all three greyhounds.  Perfect Tess checked off Tollbar on the second turn.  Ikaku Bale and Perfect Tess collided on the second turn checking Come On Fantasy, Wince Allen and Perfect Tess.  Ikaku Bale was held up for a clear run approaching the home turn.  Ikaku Bale checked off Waymore's Blues approaching the home turn.  Cadence Bale and Waymore's Blues collided on the home turn checking Cadence Bale.  Cadence Bale checked off Waymore's Blues entering the home straight checking Ikaku Bale.  Tollbar and Come On Fantasy collided entering the home straight.  Come On Fantasy and Ikaku Bale collided in the home straight.  Cadence Bale and Become The Fuse collided approaching the winning post.

Bird Special and Deano's Gadget collided soon after the start.  Keep Warm, Casanova, Deano's Gadget and Cette For Galory collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.  Greysynd Chief crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Sunday Sipper, Apatchy Racer and Bird Special.  Casanova and Cette For Galory collided on the second turn.  Casanova checked off Cette For Galory entering the back straight.  Sunday Sipper galloped on the heels of Keep Warm in the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Keep Warm checked off Bird Special in the home straight.
