Track Manager advised as part of its regular maintenance programme, the track was power harrowed on Monday, 23 November.

Alpha Demeter was quick to begin.  Dyna Irminus, Pure Zest and Dyna Maddie were slow to begin.  Dyna Juggler crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Dyna Irminus and collided with Alpha Demeter. Snakebite Bale, Excel Like Moses and Addictive Drew collided soon after the start checking Excel Like Moses and Addictive Drew.  Addictive Drew and Pure Zest collided approaching the first turn.  Snakebite Bale, Excel Like Moses and Dyna Irminus collided on the first turn checking Excel Like Moses and Dyna Irminus.  Dyna Maddie crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Addictive Drew and Pure Zest.  Pure Zest eased approaching the second turn.  Excel Like Moses and Dyna Irminus collided on the second turn checking Dyna Irminus.  Snakebite Bale and Dyna Juggler collided entering the back straight checking Dyna Juggler.  Pure Zest eased on the third turn.

Pure Zest was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 3.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr J. Spizzirri, Trainer of Pure Zest.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), Stewards charged Pure Zest with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Spizzirri pleaded not guilty to the charge, Pure Zest was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
