Steward's Report
Poppy Jay and Zatthree were slow to begin. Midori Miss and Sage Jay collided soon after the start. Zacky Dee, Sage Jay and Turbo Injected collided soon after the start. Poppy Jay and Zatthere collided on the first turn. Zacky Lee crossed to the inside on the first turn, checking Midori Miss, Sage Jay, Zatthere, severely checking Poppy Jay and causing What's Her Name to gallop on the heels of Zacky Lee as a result, checking Zacky Lee, What's Her Name and All A Illusion. Zacky Lee eased approaching the home turn, causing What's Her Name to race wide. Zacky Lee crossed to the outside and checked off What's Her Name approaching the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr Z.Gemci, handler of the greyhound Zacky Lee regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Zacky Lee was vetted and re-vetted following event 3. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hind bruising and a right hock injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), stewards charged Zacky Lee with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Gemci pleaded not guilty to the charge, Zacky Lee was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
