Steward's Report
Acquitted was a late scratching at 4:10pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37) (fleas). No stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Desaubin, the trainer of Lovey regarding the length of time the greyound has had between races. Lovey last raced on 16/05/2016. Mr. Desaubin stated that the greyhound was returnig to racing following a condition to the foot.
A pre race sample was taken from Sam Whelan upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Ginger Pieces, Sam Whelan and Smart Tornado were slow to begin. Sam Whelan and Swift Jewel collided approaching the home turn. Sam Whelan and Lovey collided on the home turn.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Track Curator, Mr. A. Inger advised that the track was deeply harrowed on Wednesday 24th August, 2016.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Bernmar Thunder trialled over the 395m from box 2, weight 31.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23:41, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 lengths. Bernmar Thunder was Cleared.
