Panther Grit and Jimmy's Angel were slow to begin.  Tweedle Dumb and Are You collided soon after the start.  Panther Grit crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Enchanting Image and severely checking Jimmy's Angel which raced wide as a result.  Are You and Stoppa Bus collided at the 250m mark.  Panther Grit and Jimmy's Angel collided several times from the 250m mark until approaching the 100m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Are You and Tweedle Dee collided at the 100m mark.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Blush Burst and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 11:02am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer E. Hamilton was fined the sum of $100.

A pre race sample was taken from Donkey Tron.

Memphis Victorem was slow to begin.  Donkey Tron, Hurricane Aussie, Aston Mondo and Leave Me Out collided soon after the start, checking all four greyhounds.  Donkey Tron and Leave Me Out collided approaching the 300m mark.  Regal Bulldog crossed to the outside at the 300m mark, checking Leave Me Out.  Kev's Choice crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark and collided with Regal Bulldog and Aston Mondo.  Hurricane Aussie and Leave Me Out collided at the 200m mark, checking Memphis Victory.  Kev's Choice and Hurricane Aussie collided approaching the winning post.

Who's Driving was slow to begin.  Who's Driving and Dragon Glass collided soon after the start.  Paua To Roar and Red Light Runner collided approaching the 200m mark.

Make That Call, Johnnie Red and Judicial Man collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds.  Make That Call and Johnnie Red collided at the 300m mark, checking Johnnie Red.  Make That Call crossed to the outside at the 200m mark.  Judicial Man and Zambora Beau collided approaching the 100m mark and again approaching the winning post.

Quick Glance was a late scratching at 10:25am due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Pittsy Lomar was slow to begin.  Aussie Ingrared, To The Galo's and Bejay The Dejay collided soon after the start.  Aussie Ingrared crossed to the outside at the 300m mark.  Hawka Tron and Howies Flyer collided at the 300m mark.  To The Galo's and Bejay The Dejay collided at the 250m mark.  Aussie Infrared crossed to the rail at the 200m mark and collided with American Monster and To The Galo's.  Pittsy Lomar checked off Bejay The Dejay at the 200m mark.  American Monster checked off Aussie Infrared at the 100m mark.  Aussie Infrared and To The Galo's collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Taylor, the trainer of Ido Voodoo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ido Voodoo last raced on 19 April 2016 and is returning after having an injured toe. Stewards noted the greyhound has been coursing during this time. Mr. Taylor also declared a new weight of 33.8 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ido Voodoo last raced at 32.7.

J. Britton was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card/weight card was produced for the greyhound One For Me pursuant to GAR 33.

One For Me, Zipping Vito and Flying Focus collided soon after the start.  Ido Voodoo and Another Zipper collided approaching the 300m mark.  Another Zipper and Haiyan collided at the 300m mark, checking Another Zipper, Ido Voodoo, Zipping Vito and Flying Focus.  Ido Voodoo checked off Lockname Eve approaching the 200m mark and crossed to the outside, checking Another Zipper.  Lockname Eve and One For Me collided several times at the 200m mark, checking Lockname Eve.  Mystery Ride and Haiyan collided at the 200m mark.  One For Me checked off Mystery Ride approaching the winning post.

Subsequent to the event Stewards issued a warning to Mr B. Klemke, to ensure that he re-kennels the greyhound in it's allocated kennel. (Greyhound - One For Me)

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Shaw the representative of Quotation Mark regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Quotation Mark last raced on 7 April 2016 and is returning after having a hock injury. Mr. Shaw also declared a new weight of 32.1 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Quotation Mark last raced at 30.8.

Invictus Rapid crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Shytown Hussler, Pappa Gallo, Levenseat Bevan and Athos.  Extradition crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Alpha Hermes crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark.  Pappa Gallo crossed to the outside at the 250m mark.

Pappa Gallo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left flexor tendon and right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Bolero was slow to begin.  Soldier Spy and Big Ticket collided soon after the start.  Big Ticket and Your Shout Punk collided approaching the winning post.

Mott Haven, Hurricane Queen and Master Phelps were slow to begin.  Fancy More and Brilliant Shot collided soon after the start.  Jack Walker, Fancy More and Brilliant Shot collided at the 300m mark.  Brilliant Shot crossed to the rail approaching the 200m mark, checking Fancy More and Hurricane Queen.

Early Violet, Banana Blanket and Rozehill Lisa collided soon after the start.  Hetalia Bale crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Little Ferret, Hot Genetics, Avatar Girl, Rozehill Lisa, Banana Blanket and Early Violet.  Little Ferret and Hot Genetics collided at the 250m mark.  Early Violet and Rozehill Lisa collided approaching the 200m mark.  Hot Genetics and Little Ferret collided approaching the 200m mark, checking Little Ferret, Rozehill Lisa and Early Violet.  Rozehill Lisa and Hot Genetics collided at the 150m mark and again approaching the winning post.

Early Violet was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle and right wrist, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. J. Delaroche, the representative of Sturridge declared a new weight of 36.0 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sturridge last raced at 34.7.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Norris, the Trainer of Emily's Kitty regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Emily's Kitty last raced on 24 March 2016 and is returning after having a seasonal spell.

Mr. G. Johnson, the Trainer of Hugh Made Who declared a new weight of 35.3 for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hugh Made Who last raced at 34.1. 

Walt's Star and Hugh Made Who collided soon after the start.  Emily's Kitty and Superstar Jatt collided at the 250m mark.

Meeting Comments:

Stewards spoke to Ms P. Triaca and issued her a warning in relation to ensuring all other greyhounds are secured during the running of an event; also that no other canines are brought on course without steward's permission.

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Klemke and issued a warning to him to ensure that the person he has delegated to retrieve his greyhound from the kennels prior to racing is fully registered to perform this task. 

Stewards conducted a box draw for the All Four Paws And Claws Resort Healesville Cup to be held on 11th September 2016. The official box draw is as follows:
