Nicky's Secret underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a laceration on the left hind. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Zipping Swazi (marred Kiss Me Ruby on the turn into the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left hamstring and left thigh muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Jason Tolson regarding Zipping Swazi’s racing manners turning into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Zipping Swazi was charged with marring. Mr. Tolson pleaded guilty to the charge. Zipping Swazi was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
