Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 23.8 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Pursuant to the GRV Hot Weather Policy, Stewards dispensed with two requirements prior to Race 1, meaning greyhounds were not required to remain on course for the specified time following their engagements, and that the parading of greyhounds was to occur, as the outside temperature had decreased to a reasonable level.

Stewards interviewed Kennel Representative Mr. Luke Adams in relation to the bona fides of the withdrawal of Diva Maria from this race. Mr. Adams' comments were noted.
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Darnum Duke.
