Steward's Report
Stormy Secret – Late scratching at 9:04am due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mrs. Debbie Bewley informed Stewards that she had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mrs. Bewley that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 72 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
Mira Bale was quick to begin.
Jayden (visibly eased approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Jye Formosa regarding Jayden’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Jayden was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge. Jayden must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Supplementary Report – 6/2/2026: The 28 day stand down was removed from Stormy Secret after Mrs. Bewley provided Stewards with sufficient evidence of the vehicle breakdown.
